Juneteenth Holiday This Friday: No Classes

18 Jun 2020 by Brian Wright

In light of the renewed civil rights movement that has been transpiring across the world in support of African American people, we will be observing the Juneteenth holiday, Friday June 19th, that marks the anniversary that the last slaves in the United States were freed! An amazing time for blacks in America! Our instructors will have a paid day off and we will not be conducting classes on this day and all classes that take place on Friday will be made up! We encourage everyone to reflect and celebrate black culture and the advancement that our country made by doing away with the evil of slavery. We encourage all of our students and families to visit the site listed below to gain further knowledge and appreciation of African American and American history! For more information on this holiday, please visit the website below:

Thank you all and please enjoy, EDUCATE, and celebrate during this time!

*The instructors will be meeting up in Long Beach, at the beach, to celebrate the Juneteenth Holiday with a cypher and music! We are inviting our students to show up with one parent. This is a completely optional event!
